It was nice spring day in Switzerland when I arrived to the chess club  http://www.chess4kids.ch/english/why_chess_for_kids.php on Saturday afternoon 14th of April.

There were total 21 young opponents, but before the simul some introduction took place. I first spoke about my book Chess Gymnasium and after the simul I answered numerous questions. My opponents were just kids though the simul did not take long time. In one game my opponent the little girl put on tough fight and in some moment despite extra pawn I decided to offer a draw. There was a huge picture of Judith Polgar on the wall, maybe one day my little opponent could become an other chess women sensation in chess. After the simul which did not last more than an hour I gave small lecture to the students as well. The subject was the hidden structure in endgames and how mathematics is involved in simple chess endgame problem. The atmosphere was very friendly and I hope everybody enjoyed it. My host Mr. Markus Regez http://www.chess4kids.ch/english/about_us/our_organization.php translated my English with easy and despite that the book was available in English most of the participants acquired it.

Someone who understands German more information about the event are on http://chess4kids.ch/blog/?p=115#more-115

We hope to keep close contact with the club and are looking to do similar events in other countries as well. Gens Una Sumus.
